About Melodorian

My name is Jadran Salaovic, also known as Melodorian. I’m a 53-year-old composer from Croatia, living in Germany since 1992. My music blends neoclassical, ambient and cinematic elements – emotional, nostalgic and reflective.

I started piano late, in my forties, after years of guitar. The piano’s sound – especially with Noire, The Grandeur, Una Corda and Spitfire Felt Piano – helped me capture feelings words can’t.

I compose with virtual instruments only. I don’t perform live – I build my tracks in the studio, note by note. My music is made for streaming, not stages.

Influences: Ólafur Arnalds, Max Richter, Nils Frahm; plus rain, nature, stillness and memory.

Piano, cello, soft guitars and warm pads meet field sounds like rain or birds – music for calm and quiet focus.

“I don’t really play my pieces – I build them.” Improvising, editing and layering until a small story appears.

Find me on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music and SoundCloud. Thank you for listening. 🌙
